The publisher expressed interest in the new novel, The Sea of Aaron, but they requested it be trimmed down by at least fifty pages. The truth of the matter is it's probably not worth the hard work, stress and aggravation to systematically chop the heart out of the novel, but I've decided to view this as a challenge and see what can be done.
For anyone out there who thinks writing is a glamorous occupation, think again. Unless you're a well-known bestselling author who appeals to mainstream readers, there is no glamour at all. Of course the positive side is that there are some readers who respond appreciatively to your efforts.
